Many thousands of timeshare owners have received refunds and compensation from timeshare and finance companies due to being missold, misrepresented, breached laws and regulations, or fraud. However, many timeshare owners have fallen for scams while trying to claim their rightful compensation.

Interference and propaganda spread by the timeshare industry to protect its existence and ability to carry on misselling created a vacuum where attention was turned to genuine timeshare exit and claims companies that sought to disrupt and hold the timeshare industry to account.

The confusion created a gap in the market for bogus companies that took and continue to take advantage of past and present timeshare owners. Despite the fact that timeshare owners signed up for timeshares costing in many cases more than £40,000 whilst under high pressure on unmonitored sales presentations, political influence and circumvention of self-serving regulations meant that despite timeshare owners justifiably being eligible to make a claim, these claims were unfortunately provided by companies that were unable and unregulated to do so, and only sought to take upfront fees with no intention of delivering the service.

This misinformation has led to many timeshare owners never receiving the correct advice about the eligibility of their claims, being stuck in a cycle of scams, and having no chance of ever seeing a penny in compensation.
