Had a phone call telling you that even though you cancelled your timeshare, it will be reinstated?
If so, you can add yourself to the list of thousands of other ex-timeshare owners that are getting the same cold call.
Ex-members of Diamond Resorts are told that Hilton will reinstate their timeshare and that they will owe thousands in unpaid maintenance fees.
This is entirely untrue, yet again, another scam—a typical case of fear-mongering the vulnerable to defraud them of their money.
Criminals in Tenerife and Spain are becoming desperate and thinking up as many ways to defraud their victims.
Another recent scam reported to us is that past and present members receive calls from timeshare debt collection companies in the UK. Criminals posing as debt collectors insist that maintenance fees are outstanding and must arrange a Zoom call with a legal representative to end enforcement.
This scam, along with many others, is continuing, and consumers should remain vigilant.
The criminal organisations involved in these scams only employ the very best scammers, in order to maximise their profits. As such, it may seem that the person you are talking to is professional and knows what they are talking about!
Ultimately, now matter how professional you may wish to believe you have been treated, it is a scam and if you pay them, you will lose your money.
Unfortunately, just because you have paid on your credit card, doesn't guarantee that you will get your money back. For advice on Section 75 claims, get in touch.

If you are worried about your situation or that you have lost money in a scam, get in touch. Our help and advice is free. If you do still own your timeshare, you might be able to get out of it for free. If not, all of services are without the payment of any upfront fees.
