What is the Bait and Switch Scam, and how are Seasons Holidays PLC using it to deceive their timeshare members? Let's first start with some evidence. Seasons Keys members are bombarded with generic emails from Seasons Holidays telling them they must travel to Bristol for a meeting. Email from Seasons: "As we are nearing completion of several properties, it is crucial that we have your relevant paperwork on file. Our records indicate that we do not have this documentation; as we do not have your paperwork, we will be unable to distribute any funds to you, nor will you be eligible for the Alternative product ( a further term of holidays), which is subject to approval and availability."

Bait and Switch is prohibited under The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. Bait and Switch is a form of marketing where a business will lead consumers to believe that they are visiting them for a particular reason, such as the distribution of funds from the Keys membership or a free extension of their existing membership, and then take that opportunity to sell them something completely different.
In this case, if you visit Seasons head office in Bristol, Seasons salesperson and local lad Richie will give you all the reasons under the sun why your Keys membership isn't sellable and then proceed to offer you an upgrade into a lodge at Slaley Hall or Seasons loyalty night package. Classic 'bait and switch'.

The brazen contempt of Seasons Holidays to believe they will not be held to account is bewildering. We have come to expect this behaviour from timeshare companies based abroad, but acting this way on UK shores is asking for trouble.
We currently represent a wide range of Seasons members, from ex-police service to doctors and many elderly people over 80.
