So far, 2024 has been a busy year for our scam prevention team, which has already helped an unprecedented number of timeshare owners who have been approached by scam companies. Fortunately for many of these potential victims, we were able to interject before they lost all of their money.
In one of the most concerning cases we have heard for some time, Club La Costa and Diamond Resorts members are being told by so-called 'genuine' companies that they must pay upfront fees of over £10,000 to file a Timeshare Claim. This is wholly untrue and nothing more than a fraudulent attempt at theft.

In light of this potential financial pitfall, we want to clarify a few points. Adhering to these key points will ensure your not scammed and miss out on a genuine chance of receiving compensation.
1. If you paid for your timeshare purchase through a cash payment, you cannot recover your money. There is NO financial mechanism available to recover this money.
2. The only way to recover your money for a mis-sold timeshare is if you purchased it using a finance facility while you were at the resort. This type of compensation claim should only EVER be entered into on a 'No Win No Fee' basis.

3. Advice given to you by unregulated companies that take upfront fees is always incorrect and fictionalised to try and convince you to hand over your money. This includes companies that aren't directly regulated and pass your claim to a third party.
4. We are here to protect you from scams and ensure you can claim timeshare compensation safely without paying ANY upfront fees. We are a Financial Conduct Authority-authorised and regulated company that makes money by winning timeshare claims. If you have any questions or want to check your timeshare claim viability, get in touch.
