There aren't many timeshares we can't cancel, but the most litigious timeshare companies prepared to enforce ownership through the courts are the Osbourne Club in Torquay and a handful of Scottish timeshare resorts that rely on debatable Scottish laws.
Some timeshare companies use debt collectors like Daniel Silverman and Pinnacle to chase debts. However, debts, such as timeshare maintenance fees, are only legally enforceable if the company you owe the money to is prepared to take you to court.
Due to cross-border jurisdiction, timeshare companies based outside the UK are unlikely to take this route due to the cost of legal fees and fear of setting a precedent that would decimate their owner base.
Timeshare companies are also inherently aware that you were missold, and they don't have a leg to stand on!

Charges have sometimes been fixed on timeshare owners' homes, often without their prior knowledge, and they only became aware of such a problem while trying to get remortgaged or sell their house. In some cases, sending a simple cancellation letter to your timeshare resort may suffice. Unfortunately, due to declining timeshare sales, resorts are keen to try to hold on to their maintenance fee income stream by making this process increasingly complex. Many resorts will ask you to pay an exorbitant exit fee and attempt to lure you in once again and upgrade you to another product.
Timeshare companies such as Seasons Holidays PLC use a premeditated scam known as planned obsolescence. They tell you that the product they previously sold you isn't what you were originally sold and offer to fix it by selling you another timeshare product to get you out of the problem that the created!
Seasons Holidays PLC has recently made it to the top of the charts for being one of the largest timeshare scam companies in history, and its victims are set to receive hundreds of millions of pounds in compensation anytime soon.
The ability to resell your timeshare on the open market disappeared about 30 years ago, except for some highly demanded weeks and point memberships at Disney and a handful of unique resorts with limited units and high demand. Timeshare resale companies exist only because they make money from upfront advertising fees, not because they make commissions from selling fees!
